Kabul. November 1996\n\nA bone merchant on Jade Maiwand. After the Taliban banned the scrap metal trade and other commercial activities on religious grounds, people in Kabul resorted to the trading of bones, animal and human. Children were especially active, rifling bones from the graves unearthed by constant bombing and shelling.
